Introduction Umbrella Fabric

There are three main types of fabrics used for umbrellas, and the cost is from low to high: polyester, PG cloth, nylon, transparent plastic.

Polyester

The characteristics of polyester fabric are: the color is brighter, and after rubbing the umbrella fabric in your hands, the creases are obvious and not easy to restore. When rubbing the fabric, you will feel resistance and there will be a rustling sound when rubbing. Applying a layer of silver glue on polyester is what we usually call a silver glue umbrella. The function of silver glue fabric to prevent ultraviolet rays is relatively good, but after a long time of use, the silver glue is easy to detach from the folded place. Applying a layer of silver powder on polyester is what we usually call a pearl fabric umbrella. The color of pearl fabric is brighter and is deeply loved by ladies, but the effect of preventing solar ultraviolet rays is not ideal.

PG cloth

PG cloth is also called impact cloth. High-density impact fabric is a new type. PG has the following characteristics: matte color and dark color. The fabric feels like cotton and has good light blocking properties. PG fabric is relatively expensive, but its UV protection function, quality stability, and color grade are ideal. It is a better umbrella fabric. Generally, PG fabric is only used in high-end umbrellas.

Nylon

Nylon fabric is also a high-end variety of umbrella fabrics. This kind of rain cloth has bright colors and feels like silk in the hand. When rubbing it back and forth with the hand, there is little resistance. However, this kind of fabric has a weakness. It is greatly affected by air humidity, and the umbrella cloth shrinks more seriously, sometimes even affecting the normal opening and closing of the umbrella surface. Therefore, it is not particularly common in the umbrella fabrics we commonly use.

Transparent plastic

The transparent umbrella that has become popular in recent years has an umbrella surface made of POE or PVC plastic, and some of them have various patterns and colors.
